Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance, with a focus on quality workmanship and safety. This role involves working on residential and commercial projects, ensuring roofs are properly installed and maintained to meet industry standards. The successful applicant will bring a combination of technical expertise, physical stamina, and attention to detail to contribute to the successful completion of roofing projects.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems including shingles, metal, and flat roofs.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing integrity of roofs.
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural support as needed.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in roofing and construction work.
- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing projects.
- Strong carpentry skills for framing or structural adjustments.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for proper installation procedures.
- Experience with caulking techniques for waterproofing applications.
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various construction tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights and around construction sites.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
