As a Court Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of court services across the Kingston and Napanee jurisdictions, supporting operations at five court locations. A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel frequently throughout the region are required.
Leadership That Makes a Difference
At its core, leadership in the Ontario Public Service (OPS) is about creating positive change for people and communities across Ontario. We're looking for leaders who are authentic, accountable, and courageous. People who bring others together, ask bold questions, and lead with purpose.
We believe great leadership starts with high standards and strong support. In the OPS, that means showing up with authenticity, acting with integrity, and having the courage to do what's right, even when it's hard.
As a leader, you'll shape a team culture that sparks innovation, supports collaboration, and champions inclusion. You'll help build a workplace that is diverse, anti-racist, and accessible, where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to thrive.
You won't be doing it alone. We invest in our leaders through mentorship, learning opportunities, and cross-ministry networks that help you grow your impact and connect with peers across the organization.
Leadership is about impact, and in this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful one. You will:
- Lead Court Operations: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of court services across multiple courthouse locations, ensuring proceedings are supported efficiently and in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures, and judicial requirements.
- Provide Leadership and Team Development: Lead, coach, and support court staff by setting clear expectations, managing performance, fostering employee engagement, and promoting a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Manage Operational Resources: Coordinate staffing, scheduling, facilities, and operational resources across multiple locations to ensure service needs are met and court operations run smoothly.
- Support Employee and Labour Relations: Address human resources, attendance, workplace accommodation, and labour relations matters with professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to organizational policies and collective agreements.
- Build Strong Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate with the judiciary, legal professionals, justice partners, and the public to resolve issues, support service excellence, and ensure effective communication across court operations.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and support operational and organizational change initiatives that strengthen court services and staff effectiveness.
Your ability to align your team's efforts with broader organizational goals will be key to your success, and to the success of the people we serve.
