Rita Khalfon Immigration Consulting is seeking an experienced and highly organized Licensed Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing a high-volume caseload of Permanent Residence (PR) and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applications from initial consultation to final decision. The consultant will provide strategic immigration advice, ensure compliance with Canadian immigration legislation, and deliver exceptional client service throughout the application process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct professional immigration consultations with prospective and existing clients to assess eligibility for Canadian Permanent Residence pathways.
- Advise clients on the most appropriate immigration programs, including Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), family sponsorship, and other permanent residence streams.
- Prepare, review, and submit complete and accurate PR and PNP applications through the appropriate IRCC and provincial portals.
- Manage all stages of client files, including document collection, eligibility assessments, application preparation, submission, and post-submission follow-up.
- Communicate with clients regarding application progress, document requests, processing updates, and procedural requirements.
- Review supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with IRCC and provincial immigration requirements.
- Prepare legal submissions, explanation letters, procedural fairness responses, reconsideration requests, and additional supporting documentation when required.
- Monitor application status and respond promptly to requests from IRCC, provincial immigration authorities, and other government agencies.
- Maintain accurate client records and case notes within the firm's case management system.
- Stay current with changes to Canadian immigration legislation, regulations, operational manuals, ministerial instructions, and provincial nominee program requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to case coordinators and administrative staff regarding PR and PNP processing.
- Ensure all work complies with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) Code of Professional Conduct.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and documentation.
- Participate in internal meetings, case strategy discussions, and process improvement initiatives.
- Represent the firm's commitment to professional, ethical, and client-focused immigration services.
Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
- Minimum 3 years of recent professional experience independently preparing and submitting Canadian Permanent Residence and Provincial Nominee Program applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Express Entry (FSW, CEC, FST)
- Provincial Nominee Programs (Ontario and other provinces)
- Family Class Sponsorship
- Permanent Residence portal procedures
- IRCC online systems and provincial nomination portals
- Strong knowledge of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple client files while meeting strict deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and immigration case management software.
- Additional language proficiency is considered an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
