What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Enhanced Screening. This is a newly created role with focus on high-risk roles identification, enhanced screening, risk mitigation, and oversight across RBC.
The successful candidate will protect RBC's critical assets, data, and business areas by collaborating with global security, IT, and HR teams to refine screening and detection mechanisms, establish key metrics, and drive effective oversight through risk management practices and technology-enabled solutions. This role requires working 4 days weekly from our Toronto office at 16 York Street

What will you do?
Proactively identify and champion opportunities to leverage AI and ML technologies to strengthen screening capabilities, reporting and enhance insider risk detection.
Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders in Security, Technology, HR, and Compliance partners to drive action/change on HRR identification and insider risk mitigation.
Update, maintain and continuously improve Insider Risk HRR risk processes, policies, and procedures to align with regulatory requirements, technological changes and RBC’s risk governance standards
Develop actionable insights and reporting aligned with RBC’s risk management standards, enabling effective oversight and informed decision-making.
Analyze trends, identify emerging risks, and recommend proactive mitigation strategies to strengthen insider risk posture.
Develop KRI/KPI queries and reporting dashboards to monitor screening quality, insider risk and regulatory/compliance adherence.
Create supporting materials/presentations for Insider Risk initiatives, compliance and regulatory meetings.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in risk management, compliance, HR, IT Security, or related field.
University degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related degree, or equivalent professional experience.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and emerging technologies and their application to insider risk management.
Self-starter with proven leadership skills to drive enterprise-wide initiatives, solve problems and foster cross functional collaboration.
Ability to understand and translate business problems into technical concepts with excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
Strong understanding of risk management methodologies and frameworks.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities to navigate complex, ambiguous situations and drive strategic solutions
Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
A willingness to make a difference and challenge the status quo to help protect RBC from insider risk.
Nice to have:
Industry related certification – e.g. CITPM, CFE, CISSP
Experience in law enforcement, intelligence, or corporate investigations, audit, data protection.
Knowledge of financial services business line(s) and associated applications and processes
Information Technology standards, methodologies, and audit requirements
Previous experience working with OSFI/regulatory environments
