Job Summary
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance and repair needs across our managed properties in London, St. Thomas, and surrounding areas.
The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with our Property Managers to complete open work orders in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate is someone who can troubleshoot problems, complete a wide range of general repairs, and take pride in keeping our properties safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete maintenance work orders assigned by Property Managers in a timely manner.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance throughout residential and commercial properties.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, doors, fixtures, appliances, and other building components.
- Identify maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Complete preventative maintenance and property inspections as required.
- Coordinate with contractors and outside trades when a repair requires specialized work.
- Ensure work areas are left clean and safe after completing repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders, materials used, and any additional work required.
- Prioritize urgent maintenance requests and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Monitor property conditions and proactively identify issues before they become larger problems.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable building and safety requirements.
- Communicate regularly with Property Managers regarding the status of outstanding work orders.
- Travel between properties throughout London, St. Thomas, and surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in property maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a similar role.
- Strong general repair and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to respond to maintenance requests when required.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift, carry, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Skilled trades certification is an asset but not required.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and takes ownership of their work. The successful candidate should be comfortable walking into a property, assessing an issue, determining the appropriate solution, and either completing the repair or coordinating the appropriate contractor.

Compensation
Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
