Responsibilities

Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping

Implement an Emergent Curriculum
-
Support children’s emotional, physical, or behavioural well-being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.

Maintain attendance and health and safety checks.
-
Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists, as necessary.

Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
-
Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops
Specifications
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.

Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
-
Strong collaborator and team player

Ability to take the initiative in and out of the classroom

Strong problem-solving skills
Qualifications
-
ECE certified (Level 2 or 3)

Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Level B
-
Ability to push, pull and lift up-to 45 pounds
