Hoover Mechanical is a 28-year Calgary commercial contractor known for consistent project flow and promoting from within. We run long-term commercial and multi-residential jobs across Calgary and invest in apprentices — including our internal “Hoover School” mentoring and support for SAIT/NAIT enrolment.
Please note: You must have completed a minimum of the first year block in a Canadian Trade School and/or have 1500 hours of evidencable and indentured experience to apply for this role.
Role: Multiple full-time plumbers needed at all levels (2nd–4th year apprentices and Journeyman). Non-union shop. Citywide Edmonton sites.

What you’ll do
- Install, assemble and test piping and systems on commercial/multi-residential sites.
- Read and work from blueprints and layout sketches.
- Lift and position equipment (expect regular 25 kg+ lifts).
- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when needed.
- Coordinate with foremen and other trades to meet schedule and quality targets.
Requirements
- Completion of a minimum of the first block of a Canadian trade school.
- Evidence of being indentured with the relevant bodies
- Ability to legally work in Canada in the trades - proof will be requested.
- Personal hand tools.
- Comfortable working on ladders and standing for full shifts.
- Willingness to follow safety policies and use PPE.
- Most importantly, willing to learn and progress
