Position Summary:
This is a dual-role position combining student counselling and marketing/recruitment. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin and English, understand the Taiwanese education system and culture, and be passionate about helping students succeed while promoting our school to prospective families and partners in Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities:
Counselling & Student Support
- Provide one-on-one counselling for Taiwanese students (academic, emotional, and cultural adjustment support)
- Communicate with parents in Taiwan regarding student progress and wellbeing
- Support students through Canadian academic planning and university/college applications
Marketing & Recruitment
- Build and maintain relationships with Taiwanese agents, schools, and educational consultants
- Promote the school through online campaigns, webinars, and virtual/in-person events
- Translate and localize marketing materials (brochures, website, social media posts)
- Support the admissions team by handling inquiries from Taiwanese applicants and families
Qualifications:
- Fluent in Mandarin (Traditional Chinese) and English (spoken and written)
- Experience in student counselling and/or international recruitment
- Deep understanding of Taiwanese education system and cultural values
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Assets:
- Experience working with international students in a high school or post-secondary setting
- Knowledge of Canadian and Taiwanese post-secondary education systems
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools (social media, webinars, CRM platforms)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
