Farmery Estate Brewery is looking for a hands‑on, big‑picture Controller/CFO to lead our finance operations, who is detail-oriented, loves building smart systems, and improving processes.
This is an opportunity to play an important role with a Manitoba-grown company that manufactures, distributes and retails its products across Western Canada.
Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, agriculture, retail or consumer packaged goods would be a definite asset.
What You’ll Do
- Own all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month‑/year‑end processes
- Build and maintain financial policies, controls, and procedures
- Manage audits, AR/AP, G/L, bank recs, cash flow, and inventory analysis
- Handle GST/PST, payroll deductions, and government remittances
- Work with our ERP & brewing software EKOS
- Prepare for tax‑credit programs (SRED)
- Work closely with production and leadership teams to keep financials accurate and actionable
- Lead and support accounting staff
What You Bring
- Accounting or business degree; CPA preferred
- 3+ years in accounting/financial management (manufacturing experience is a big plus)
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with ERP systems
- Advanced Excel + QuickBooks Enterprise skills
- Willingness & capacity to learn our brewery ERP system EKOS
- Willingness to incorporate AI to improve workflows & systems
- Clear communicator, positive attitude, and ready to jump in wherever needed
