Job Summary
E Landscaping is looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, and hardworking Truck Driver / Landscape Labourer Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting landscaping materials, equipment, and machinery to and from job sites while assisting the landscaping crew with a variety of labour tasks. This position requires an individual who is dependable, physically fit, and enjoys working outdoors in a team environment.
ResponsibilitiesTruck Driving
- Safely operate company trucks and trailers to transport materials, equipment, and machinery.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Secure loads in accordance with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation.
- Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and well maintained.
- Report vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
Landscape Labour
- Assist with landscape construction projects, including:
- Excavation and site preparation
- Installing sod, mulch, topsoil, and decorative stone
- Installing interlock pavers, retaining walls, and other hardscape features
- General site clean-up and material handling
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow project plans and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work site.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class A, AR, or AZ Driver's Licence.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Previous experience operating trucks and trailers.
- Experience in landscape construction is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Requirements
- CSA-approved safety boots.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak season.
- Commitment to following company safety policies and Ministry of Transportation regulations.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
