Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Installer to join our team of shade product specialists. Are you motivated, willing to learn, up for a challenge and located within commutable distance to Burlington, ON? Then we are looking for you!
As a Junior Installer, your job is to assist our team of technicians in the installation of a variety of shade products and home improvement projects.
You will start your day at our shop in Burlington where you help your foreman get the truck loaded up for the day. From there, you will drive to the job site where you help get the product, tools, hardware, and equipment unloaded that is needed to complete the job. On site, you will be required to assist the foreman in what they need. Your duties will range from handing them tools, help with the positioning and fastening of mounting brackets, and lifting the product onto the wall.
The position of Junior Installer is vital in ensuring a swift and smooth installation process. Your work will allow us to help our growing client base enjoy quality products, installed professionally, in timely fashion.
This position is for September to end of October.
Duties
- Assisting the technicians with installing various shade products like awnings, patio roofs, screens, etc
- Participate in loading up the trucks for the days jobs
- Assist in set-up and cleanup of work site including sweeping
- Follow on-site health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates
- Other duties as assigned to ensure client satisfaction and supporting the team
Experience
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift 75lbs, often on a ladder
- Ability to work with tools an asset
- Previous trades experience an asset
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, from early mornings to late afternoons
- Must have daily access to personal transportation to get to/from our office in Burlington
- Hard-working, self-motivated, and team-oriented with a willingness to take direction
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
