Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper storage of clean items for easy access by kitchen staff
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and supporting the kitchen team during busy periods
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area by removing trash, sweeping floors, and maintaining organized workspaces
- Collaborate with restaurant or hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations including food handling and food preparation support is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in hotel or food service industries enhances your fit for this role but is not mandatory
