We are currently recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist a female employer with Dementia, in her daily personal care and activities of daily living.
Our client enjoys dancing and listening to music.
Location:
- Vancouver, BC (walking distance from Broadway-City Hall station, near VGH)
Shifts and Hours:
- Wednesday and Saturday
- 4-5 hour shifts, start time 10:00am - 11:00am
Compensation
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Personal care such as bathing, dressing, bathroom care, and grooming
- Assistance with in bed transfers and use of mobility aids
- Light housekeeping such as laundry, ironing, organizing, ect
- Going on walks outside of the residence with the employer
- Cooking/Meal preparation
Qualifications:
- Fully vaccinated with 2 doses of COVID-19 required
- Yearly Flu vaccination required
- Non-smoking/vaping (Employer is sensitive to odor) required
- Two (2) years of previous caregiving experience and related educational experience preferred
- Willingness to be trained required
- Strong communication skills and punctuality required
- Experience with Dementia an asset
- Local references preferred
