Join Our Maintenance Team
We are currently seeking a self driven, Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a dynamic work environment, competitive compensation, and opportunities for growth and development.
Location: Huntsville, ON
Company: Muskoka Rock Company Ltd.
Shift: Monday – Friday 7am-5pm
Compensation: Hourly wages start at $25.00 and range to $40.00+, with higher compensation available for exceptional candidates. Pay will be based on experience, trade certifications, licences, qualifications, and demonstrated ability. We encourage applications from licensed mechanics and experienced individuals without formal trade certification who possess strong mechanical aptitude. Wages will be commensurate with each candidate's experience, qualifications, and skill level, with opportunities for advancement as skills and responsibilities grow.
Responsibilities:
- Heavy Equipment repair and maintenance
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment (conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, etc.)
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Install, align, and dismantle equipment using proper tools and methods
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
- Experience with welding and fabrication is an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Flexibility to work overtime or on-call as needed
