POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the parts manager, the position of shipper/receiver/parts driver is responsible for the shipping, receiving, and coordination of products to and from internal and external customer locations. Your duties at the Red Deer facility will include shipping and receiving, processing orders, inventory control, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, keeping accurate files and records, delivering and picking up parts via company vehicle, and other related tasks as required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
· Ensure compliance with ISO or company-specific quality programs and the appropriate use of procedures.
· Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
· Determines the method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping hazardous materials, shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
· Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
· Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
· Maintains the inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
· Deliver and pick up parts from vendors and customers.
· Front parts counter coverage when required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse environment
· Clean Class 5 Alberta Drivers License
· Motivated individual with a positive attitude
· Proven customer service skills
· Ability to take ownership of the position and its responsibilities
· Basic math skills
· Computer literacy including Microsoft office suites and database software
· Forklift Certification is considered an asset
· CDK/ADP Software experience
· Inventory Management experience
