DanFoss Couriers & Freight is a BC owned trucking and delivery company is now accepting applications for a Warehouse Worker/5-ton Driver at our Ladysmith Warehouse Location.
This is 80% warehouse and 20% 5-ton driving.
This is an overnight shift. Please DO NOT APPLY if you are not comfortable with the shift requirements. We are looking for some who PREFERS night shift.
Basic Requirements:
- Sunday through Thursday 22:00-06:30 (8hrs w/ 1/2 hr lunch)
- Able to work overtime when required
- Reliable transportation to/from work
- Experience with forklifts and electric pallet jacks
- 2+ years' experience in a busy warehouse environment (prefer General Freight or Courier warehouse experience)
- Accuracy, attention to detail and time management
- Geographical knowledge of the Vancouver Island region
- Calm, positive, "can do" attitude in a fast-paced work environment
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Previous courier experience an asset but not required
- Previous 5-ton driving experience HIGHLY preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport empty cages from our warehouse to our offsite location
- Assist truck drivers with loading/routing
- Sort incoming and outgoing freight
- Ability to work well as part of a supportive, inclusive team
Compensation:
- $23.50 to start
