Gate Ave Service is a 5 bay automotive shop in St.albert that is family owned and operated, looking for someone who is passionate about automotive and looking to learn about repairing cars. At the same time capable of shuttling customers and picking up parts. Will be responsible for cleaning shop, jacking up vehicles, torquing tires, checking air pressures and minor mechanical apitude.

Duties
- Assist licensed mechanics with routine vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks to ensure fleet safety and reliability
- Operate shuttle vehicles safely to transport employees, contractors, and materials between designated locations within the facility or site
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of shuttle vehicles, checking fluid levels, tire condition, brakes, lights, and other essential components
- Maintain accurate logs of shuttle trips, vehicle maintenance records, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedule updates, vehicle issues, or safety concerns
- Support in general maintenance activities such as cleaning vehicles, replacing basic parts, or assisting with minor repairs as directed
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure secure transportation at all times
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license or equivalent with a clean driving record
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle inspections and minor repairs
- Strong communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork
- Customer service-oriented attitude to ensure positive interactions during transportation duties
- Ability to work outdoors or in garage environments; comfortable standing, walking, and lifting moderate loads
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards is a plus
