Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role involves greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of seating arrangements to enhance the overall dining experience. The Host/Hostess will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, embodying our commitment to exceptional customer service and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables and assist with seating arrangements
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns courteously and professionally
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes guest satisfaction
- Support other front-of-house duties as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is preferred
- Food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of hotel or restaurant operations is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and a positive attitude
Pay: $17.20-$32.35 per hour
