The Estimator/Quoter is responsible for producing accurate, timely, and profitable quotes for commercial door projects. This includes reviewing drawings and specifications, performing material and labour takeoffs, sourcing pricing from suppliers, and preparing customer-facing proposals. - Maintain a quote log and follow up on outstanding quotes on a set schedule.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer base.
Experience
- Direct overhead door industry experience (an asset, not required) — commercial sectional, rolling steel, high-speed, fire doors, operators, dock equipment, or gate systems.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online Advanced and excel.
- Practical, demonstrated use of AI tools in a work setting.
- Experience with construction tender portals and bid depositories.
- Knowledge of Alberta building code requirements relating to door openings.
- Work from door schedules, elevations, and rough opening dimensions.
