Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, along with proven leadership and team management skills. As a vital part of our kitchen operations, the Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in supervising daily kitchen operations and staff management
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Support in menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards
- Ensure proper food safety practices are followed at all times
- Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or a similar role within the food industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership abilities in a kitchen setting
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Prior experience serving guests in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
