Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tendering and Safety Office Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for searching for and submitting bids on jobs, specifically utilizing BC Bid and other similar platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of procurement processes, excellent Excel skills, the ability to create forms for documentation, and the capability to update and maintain our health and safety program.
Duties
- Identify and evaluate potential bids on BC Bid and other procurement platforms.
- Manage and coordinate tendering processes, including document preparation and submission deadlines
- Update and manage the company's health and safety program, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of safety procedures and protocols, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Serve as a point of contact for health and safety inquiries and training.
- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, and record keeping to support operational needs
Skills
- Proven experience in bid management, and safety programs.
- Familiarity with BC Bid and other similar procurement platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
- Experience in creating forms and documentation for operational processes.
- Prior office experience, preferably in construction or forestry settings.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
