Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production processes. This role requires mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with manufacturing equipment, assembly, and warehouse operations is highly valued. The Machine Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate various manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently according to standard procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment to prevent downtime.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to assist with machine setup and minor repairs.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or other warehouse equipment when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to promote workplace safety.
- Document production data accurately and report any issues or irregularities to supervisors.
- Assist in the training of new team members on machine operation procedures.
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus.
- Ability to work with industrial machinery in a safe manner while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
