Island Mediquip (www.islandmediquip.com) is a locally owned and operated company that prides itself on being one of the largest independent suppliers of home medical equipment and lift/elevation equipment, serving the people of Vancouver Island for over 20 years .
We are currently looking for a Customer Service/Sales Coordinator team-member to join our growing team in our Courtenay location.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the location Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the following:
Customer Service Representative:
- Answering & dispatching incoming phone calls, and assisting with clients over the phone
- Assisting clients within the showroom with the purchase and selection of home medical equipment
- Collecting deposits and final payments from customers
- General upkeep of the showroom & administrative duties
- Adhering to Island Mediquip’s procedures to allow for a safe work environment
Sales Coordinator:
- Completing small quotes for Sales Representatives
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers based on spec forms
- Requisitioning product for Sales Representatives
- Advising therapists and clients regarding ETAs on orders
- Uploading completed delivery confirmations
- Monitoring emails that come in to the sales team; ensure timely replies
- Follow-up with clients post-delivery, ensuring a great customer experience
- Working with our sales team and Manufacturer reps, to set up in-services with the therapists in the North Island.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills in fluent English (both verbal and written)
- Experience in healthcare and/or medical equipment would be an asset
- Minimum of two years direct customer service experience is an asset
- Administrative background
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications
- Ability to work and thrive within a team environment
- Excellent work ethic, and a passion for helping individuals with physical disabilities

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
