Responsibilities

- Supervise and support kitchen staff, including junior cooks and kitchen helpers, to maintain smooth operations
- Manage food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Oversee food safety practices, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature controls
- Support restaurant management with daily operations, including inventory checks and ordering supplies
- Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within the kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service flow and enhance guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous-chef or kitchen helper within a busy restaurant or food service setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Demonstrated supervising experience and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Experience in Asian Cuisine is a plus
