POSITION TITLE: Stores Person
DEPARTMENT: Stores (300)
REPORTS TO: Stores Supervisor
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Unload trucks receive parts from delivery personnel.
- Receive and verify quantity of materials received.
- Unpack and verify Serial Numbers of weapons.
- Job and batch control of weapons.
- Find and pull parts from storage locations to issue to production floor.
- Use ERP system to perform material movement transactions (receipts, issues to Jobs, etc.)
- Ensure proper identification on all items in stores.
- Drive forklift and truck.
- Deliver parts to vendors and pick up parts as required.
- Assist stores keeper as required.
- Assist in shipping as required.
- Other duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Obtain Enhanced Security Clearance from the Government of Canada
- Maintenance of secure and confidential company information
- Adherence to Colt Canada Corporation’s policies and procedures
- Maintaining safe work practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highschool Diploma
- 2-3 years relevant work experience
- Experience with Forklift operation
- Valid G Class License
- Minimum 3 years’ professional driving experience (5-ton trucks)
- Flexible, able to work occasional overtime

- Internal – all Colt Canada employees
- External – delivery personnel and vendors
WORKING ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY ISSUES, CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Manufacturing Environment (PPE Required) – standing and walking 95% of time, lifting up to 50lbs, use of heavy machinery
- Travel – minor local travel to and from Colt Canada Warehouse
INTERNAL TRAINING NEEDS:
- Job Specific Training Criteria (Ref. HR F-013)

Security Clearance and Screening Requirements
Due to the nature of our operations and regulatory environment, all employees are required to meet specific security and compliance standards.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates must:
- Consent to and complete a criminal record check
- Be eligible for and successfully complete a Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Security Assessment
- Be eligible to obtain a Restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence (RPAL) and maintain it after company provided training
In addition, candidates must:
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance under the Contract Security Program (CSP), as required for the role
For certain roles with financial or inventory responsibilities, candidates may also be required to:
- Consent to a credit check
