JOB DESCRIPTION
This position involves field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soil, aggregate, concrete, mortar, and asphalt paving mixtures. The successful candidate will perform testing, sampling, and inspection activities in accordance with industry standards and project specifications for construction and geotechnical engineering projects.
Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure proficiency in company procedures, testing methods, safety requirements, and quality control standards. All required training will be fully compensated by the company.
The position requires both field and laboratory work, including material sampling, test execution, documentation of results, and preparation of reports. Employees will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and laboratory personnel to support quality assurance and quality control programs.
Safety is a priority. Employees are required to provide their own CSA-approved work boots. All other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be supplied by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must:
- Possess a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Be physically capable of lifting and carrying material samples weighing up to approximately 25 kg.
- Be willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Be available for occasional travel and out-of-town assignments as required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and related safety regulations.
- Have strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in construction materials testing, including concrete, soil compaction, aggregates, asphalt, or related testing procedures, is considered an asset but is not required.
Possession of, or willingness to obtain, certification through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician Program is considered an asset. Company support for certification training may be provided to successful candidates.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
