The Role:
We are seeking a fully ticketed, highly skilled Journeyman A/C & Refrigeration Technician to handle the installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of commercial and residential HVAC systems. You will work independently and as part of a team to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring optimal system performance for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain air conditioning units, heat pumps, chillers, and associated HVAC equipment.
- Install, calibrate, and wire related electrical components and controls.
- Perform refrigerant checks, system leak detection, and necessary evacuations/charging.
- Complete detailed service records, logs, and work orders efficiently.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 emergency support.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety standards and FLHAs (Field Level Hazard Assessments).
Qualifications:
- Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Certification (Alberta or Red Seal).
- Minimum of 2-5+ years of post-journeyman experience in commercial/residential HVAC.
- Solid understanding of electrical schematics, diagnostic tools, and control systems.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Safety tickets (e.g., Fall Arrest, WHMIS, First Aid) are considered a strong asset.
Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
