Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various heavy machinery and trucks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, technical excavation to grade and around utilities as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Duties:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, roll off trucks, tri axle dump trucks and float trailers for various construction tasks.
- Drive commercial vehicles including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and low boy detachable heavy float trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction projects effectively.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, logs, time cards, pre trips, job sheets etc.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction site experience. Ability to safety and skillfully operate heavy equipment (mostly excavators 5-40 tonne, skid steers, loader, dozer)
- Valid commercial driving license (AZ) with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment functionality.
- Ability to operate dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tractor units with low boy and tag floats.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
Experience:
- CDL: 5 years (required)
- Heavy equipment operation: 5 years (preferred)
