Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure efficient and reliable plumbing services. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in mechanical knowledge and construction practices, with the flexibility to handle various related tasks.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete installations and repairs
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate plumbing projects
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues before they become major problems
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians when necessary for integrated projects
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Skills
- 2 years of experience working in the field (preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of plumbing systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Experience with blueprint reading and basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimates
- Knowledge of construction practices including carpentry and assembly techniques
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus for integrated service roles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment between sites
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
