Overview
LMS Building Maintenance is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in the UBC area of Vancouver. First day of training will be June 22, and 23 2026. First shift is on the 25th. Services Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week in total.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in a Strata, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for resident and guests. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where excellent customer service and strong housekeeping skills are valued. Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred, along with the ability to manage time effectively and perform heavy lifting when necessary.
Duties
- Perform cleaning duties across multiple areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, dusting, waster removal, spot carpet cleaning and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate equipment/tools and supplies
- Utilize equipment to maintain cleanliness standards
- Operate and handle various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Manage time effectively to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes
- Clean the organic waste bins once per month
- Ensure all areas meet health and safety standards by adhering to proper cleaning procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress or issues encountered
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and courteously
- LMS uses an cleaning app called SWEPT. Housekeepers must download SWEPT on their phone. SWEPT acts as your time clock, commuications tool, audit tool and the like. It is mandatory that all our housekeepers use SWEPT.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred
- Familiarity with the use of and cleaning equipment is a plus
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required by the role
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Reliable attendance and a professional attitude toward work responsibilities
Shifts
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- No work on Statutory Holidays
- Shift starts at 8:30 am to 11:30 pm
Wages/Probation:
- $19.00 to start
- Standard Probationary Period Applies
