Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to accurately execute repair procedures
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Support the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as needed
- Learn to interpret technical diagrams and schematics for complex repairs
- Contribute to customer service by providing updates on repair status and ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with automotive systems preferred
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and schematics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework related to automotive repair is beneficial
