Build the operational backbone of a luxury executive protection firm.
Den Protection Group is a Canadian executive protection firm serving ultra-high-net-worth families and business leaders in Metro Vancouver, with international operations in Northern India. We are licensed under the BC Security Services Act and fully insured through Lloyd's Underwriters.
We are hiring our first Head of Security Operations for Canada — a senior operator who will build and lead our Canadian protective operations from the ground up. This is not a guard supervisor role. You will design our standards, recruit and certify our Protection Officer bench, and lead deployments for clients who expect discretion above all else.
This is a part-time contract role, deliberately structured to suit an experienced professional who wants meaningful leadership work alongside their current career or in semi-retirement.
What you will own:
- Building Den's Canadian standard operating procedures, training curriculum, and deployment protocols to international executive protection standards.
- Recruiting, vetting, and leading an on-call bench of 5–8 licensed Protection Officers (ex-RCMP, ex-military, current Security Worker Licence holders).
- Ensuring full compliance with the BC Security Services Act — licensing, insurance, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Conducting estate and travel security assessments for prospective and retained clients.
- Leading protective deployments: residential coverage, executive movements, event security, and visiting-principal details.
- Serving as the operational face of Den in client meetings — your presence and credibility are part of what clients are buying.
Who we are looking for:
- 10+ years in law enforcement, military, or professional close protection — RCMP, CAF, municipal police ERT/protective services, or equivalent.
- Prior executive or dignitary protection experience (provincial protective services, federal details, or licensed private EP).
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence, or eligibility to obtain one promptly.
- If currently serving in law enforcement or military: written outside-employment approval from your agency is a firm condition of engagement. Please confirm your eligibility before applying.
- Experience building programs — SOPs, training standards, teams — not just operating within them.
- Polished, discreet, client-ready. Our clients are private families and executives; the standard is luxury hospitality with hard operational skill behind it.
- Clean criminal record; able to pass enhanced background screening.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence; based in Metro Vancouver.
