Compounding Manager - Scarborough, ON
The Compounding Manager is responsible for managing the daily and long term objectives of the compounding production areas. This includes: providing direction/guidance for manufacturing projects, assuring operations are in compliance with all Safety, GMPs, and SOPs etc. guidelines, and assisting and developing team leaders and leads in the management of department personnel and floor operations.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities for compounding department
- Train, coach, and motivate staff to ensure good morale and a high level of productivity
- Implement initiatives aimed at improving processes, safety, quality, and efficiencies
- Recruit and train for each function to ensure uninterrupted service
- Performance monitoring and evaluation of compounders with effective daily communication
- Implement and manage departmental goals and objectives
- Ensure work areas are safe through the compounding and pre-weighing areas
- Maintain department safety and GMP goals
- Manage departmental activities, work order signoff, organize workflow based on schedule, decision making, inventory control, and supply replenishment
- Reduce operating costs
- Establish and implement a daily production schedule to meet daily/monthly output requirements

Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in related chemistry or mechanic engineering fields
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food industries an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Equipment and process knowledge
- Good organizational skills
- Good knowledge of ERP/MRP system
- Computer literate in MS word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & E-mail
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
