Kitchen Helper / Banquet Server
SC Party Helpers is seeking reliable, energetic, and professional Kitchen Helpers/Banquet Servers to join our event staffing team. We provide staffing services for weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and special events throughout the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced event environment and take pride in providing excellent guest service while supporting successful events.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup, including buffet tables, beverage stations, and food service areas
- Heat and prepare appetizers according to client or caterer instructions
- Arrange food displays, charcuterie boards, and serving stations
- Replenish buffet items and monitor food presentation throughout the event
- Assist caterers, chefs, and event hosts as required
- Keep kitchen and prep areas clean, organized, and stocked
- Clear tables, collect dishes, and maintain cleanliness during and after events
- Assist with event teardown and cleanup
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Provide professional and courteous service to guests
Qualifications
- 3 years experience with banquet, catering, hospitality service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must have a vehicle
- Food Safe certification is an asset but not mandatory
