Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Digger Derrick Operator with a Class 3 license to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Operate digger derricks and boom trucks safely and efficiently during construction and utility installation projects
- Perform rigging and lifting operations using cranes and other mechanical equipment, ensuring stability and safety at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, including mechanical components, to identify maintenance needs or potential issues
- Assist with the setup of work zones by coordinating with team members and communicating effectively across multilingual teams if applicable
- Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication, updates, and professional interactions with clients on-site
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper rigging techniques and adherence to OSHA standards, to prevent accidents or injuries
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, equipment usage, and safety checks for compliance purposes
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on operating boom trucks, digger derricks, or similar heavy machinery
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with certification to operate digger derricks or boom trucks
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, crane operation, and mechanical systems relevant to the role
- Experience working in diverse environments with strong communication skills in multiple languages is highly valued
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and diagrams accurately while demonstrating excellent mechanical knowledge
- Previous customer service experience is a plus, reflecting professionalism and effective communication skills in client interactions
- Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated
