Reporting to the Connections Coordinator, the Admin Assistant - Program Support is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of WINS Community Resource Hubs. This role provides program staff with administrative support primarily. This role also has a pivotal role in promoting women and their family’s well-being, development, confidence, and success; motivating and inspiring participants in participating in WINS program activities; promoting their long-term involvement in the community and providing evaluation and feedback to ensure our WINS programs stay relevant to women and their families as well as the community WINS serve.

Be legally eligible to work in Canada* in accordance with relevant provincial legislation/regulations

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment

Be available to start work immediately (during May–June)
Hours of Work:
Applicants must be available to work full-time (32 hours per week) for 8 consecutive weeks, Monday to Friday
Wage:
$16.00 per hour
Overview:
- Manage the Community Resource Hubs and Referrals emails and phone calls and respond in a timely matter.

Booking appointments for participants to come and meet 1:1 with program staff members and managing schedules accordingly.

Ensure that the pantries at all sites are stocked regularly; complete grocery orders and coordinate groceries getting to all sites.

Responsible for the flow of goods between all Community Resource Hub sites; knowledge of inventory at all sites and ensuring that goods are transferred where they need to be.

Manage pick up and distribution of select external referrals, coordinate distribution of goods to necessary Community Resource Hub sites.

Facilitate Communication between the Donation Centre, Social Enterprise and Programs.

Tracking, sorting and distribution of donations and goods coming into the Community Resource Hubs.

Other duties as assigned.
Education:
A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
Experience:
- Previous Admin experience is considered an asset.

Experience with cultural diversity and inclusion in a community and programs’ setting.

Knowledge of other non-profit agencies, community programs and services.
-
Experience working with marginalized and diverse populations and an understanding of issues that may impact women in crisis and/or in low-income situations.
- Safe Food Handling training is an asset

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
