Capital automotive equipment Ltd is looking to hire 1 Forklift Operator with a valid forklift license. . Job hours are 9:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 10-2 This job involves heavy lifting. Minimum of 4 years of experience is required.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our facility. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and timely.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and improve processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including order pickers and clamp trucks.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution practices and procedures is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative setting.

Job responsibilities include Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using counterbalance forklift and/or basic material handling equipment ,Move product onto and off moving trucks or vans, complete relevant paperwork Perform other material handling activities such as sorting, packing and unpacking.
May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials.
Calling Shipping Company to book deliveries and receiving quotes
