Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall care of swimming pools. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, hands-on skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service to our clients. As a Pool Technician, you will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that pools are clean, safe, and functioning properly.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance on swimming pools, including cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment checks.
- Open and close residential swimming pools
- Install and service pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, etc.)
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to perform repairs and installations as needed.
- Build or repair pool structures as necessary, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge.
- Communicate with clients regarding pool conditions and maintenance needs.
- Document all services performed and report any issues or required repairs to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pool maintenance or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in pool maintenance and landscaping tasks.
- Certified Gas Technician or Licensed Electrician (An asset)
- Ability to dig and maintain landscape areas around pools as part of overall service delivery.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to pool care and maintenance techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively.
- Must be detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality work.

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Pool Service: 1 year (preferred)
- Electrical: 1 year (preferred)
