Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Full-Time Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations across our group of companies, including Printers Plus Inc., Smart Label Solutions Canada, and Smart Label Solutions USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts payable, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring timely processing of vendor payments and supporting month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, obtaining approvals, and preparing vendor payments.
- Manage payments through various methods including EFT, wire transfers, cheques, and online banking platforms.
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions between Printers Plus Inc., Smart Label Solutions Canada, and Smart Label Solutions USA.
- Prepare and process internal fund transfers between companies as required to support business operations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with company policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Monitor vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
- Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation.
- Assist with GST/HST, PST, sales tax, and other routine compliance-related documentation as required.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure accurate financial processing across all entities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience processing full-cycle Accounts Payable.
- Experience working with multiple legal entities or intercompany accounting is considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo or similar accounting software.
- Experience working in a multi-company environment.
- Knowledge of Canadian accounting practices; familiarity with U.S. accounting processes is an asset.
Pay: $18.68-$32.27 per hour
