Overview
NT Painting & Decoration Inc. is a growing construction and painting company serving residential, commercial, restoration, and property management clients throughout Winnipeg.
We are looking for an experienced Construction Coordinator who can take ownership of active projects, keep crews and subcontractors organized, solve problems quickly, and ensure jobs move efficiently from start to finish.
This is not a passive administrative role. We need someone proactive, organized, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate active construction, painting, drywall, and restoration projects from start to completion
- Schedule employees, subcontractors, site visits, and project start dates
- Confirm job readiness including access, keys, lockboxes, caretaker/client arrangements, and site details
- Review scopes of work and ensure crews and subcontractors clearly understand expectations
- Coordinate materials, equipment, deliveries, and subcontractor requirements
- Communicate with clients, property managers, restoration companies, suppliers, and internal team members
- Monitor project progress daily and proactively resolve scheduling, staffing, or operational issues
- Follow up aggressively on outstanding items so jobs do not stall
- Maintain accurate job tracking, schedules, status updates, and project documentation
- Provide daily end-of-day reporting on active jobs and coordination progress
- Assist with documentation, work orders, and internal administrative support
- Help improve internal systems and coordination processes as the company grows
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in construction coordination, project coordination, project administration, or similar construction operations role
- Strong understanding of construction workflow and project sequencing
- Excellent organization and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple moving projects without losing details
- Strong communication skills with crews, clients, subcontractors, and office staff
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, project management software, email, and mobile communication tools
- Experience in painting, drywall, restoration, insurance work, or property management coordination is a major asset
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
