Salary: $70,000 start based on a 44-hour work week
Schedule: Monday to Friday OR Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (two days off per week).

Advanced Taxidermy has been a leader in the industry for 40 years, established in 1986. Born from a passion for nature, hunting, and fishing, we offer a full line of high-quality taxidermy services, including big game, life-size mounts, shoulder mounts, birds, mammals, reptiles, fish, as well as reproductions, dioramas, murals, and custom carpentry. The business operates out of a state of the art studio, recently built in 2022.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced, self-sufficient Taxidermist to join our team. This position is not an apprenticeship or training program. Applicants must have extensive, hands-on experience and be capable of managing the entire taxidermy process independently, from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and mount skins of animals (especially mammals) for preservation, scientific, or display purposes.
- Handle all stages of the taxidermy process: skinning, fleshing, tanning, form alterations, fitting and mounting hides.
- Maintain inventory of birds, mammals, reptiles, and fish.
- Assist with research and inventory documentation.
- Complete all work efficiently and to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of professional taxidermy experience.
- Proven experience in life-size mammals and shoulder mounts
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
