Position: Customer Service Representative

Duration: Full-Time Permanent employment.
Reports To: Customer Service Manager
The Customer Service Representative processes new orders and handles customer inquires with patience, courtesy and professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction. The Customer Service team and sales group will work as a team to deliver quality products and services.
The successful candidate must be able to work rotating shifts on a 2-week rotational basis, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM and 11:00am – 7:30 PM.

Responsibilities:
- Receives and handles incoming customer inquiries via phone, email and chat regarding order taking, trouble shooting basic problems, order status, concerns/complaints etc. in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintains accurate records in the CRM system including redo’s, RX credits, cancelled jobs, account changes etc.
- Enters orders into the CRM system or processes new orders from any incoming order method with accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with production and shipping teams to provide updates on order status and delivery timelines.
- Displays a solid understanding of basic and some advanced optical knowledge.
- Displays a strong knowledge of Shamir products and services.
- Performs multiple tasks with accuracy despite time pressures and order volume.
- Takes the initiative to notice and follow-up on discrepancies, suggests improvement, recommends solutions and does what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Any other duties and tasks and needed or required.
Education:
- College Diploma an asset.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years in Customer Service or other equivalent experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Optical training a strong asset.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Data entry skills an asset.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Successful candidates must complete a satisfactory criminal background check prior to employment.
