Job Summary
Lakehill Preschool is looking for a experienced Inclusion Support Worker who is interested in a part-time postition. Lakehill Preschool is a parent participation Cooperative Preschool. In this role, you will work with our ECE team to help create a welcoming, inclusive environment where children thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young children’s lives.
Duties
- Collaborate with the lead early childhood educator to implement inclusive classroom strategies that support children with diverse needs
- Assist children with daily routines, transitions, and social interactions, while encouraging independence and confidence.
- Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and ECE regarding children's needs and progress
Qualifications and Skills
- Early Childhood Education Certification or Education Assistant is an asset
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Experience supporting children with diverse abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and growth and development
- Clear criminal record check
- Up to date First Aid Certificate
- Two Reference letters
Schedule of work is 8 hours per week, performed Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 1:00pm. Hourly rate is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour and entitled to the $6.00 and hour Early Childhood Educator-Wage Enhancement Equivalent only if the employee holds a valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate.
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
