We are seeking a motivated and experienced Driver-cum-Lead Hand to join our team. This key role involves doing deliveries, overseeing a team of drivers, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high operational standards. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong leadership abilities, exceptional driving skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
NOTE: YOU WILL BE PAID ON PIECE RATE BASIS, WHICH USUALLY AMOUNTS TO A GROSS EARNING OF $50,000 TO $60,000 PER YEAR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Doing deliveries as per route assigned.
- Lead and supervise a team of drivers, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries.
- Monitor driver performance, providing coaching and feedback to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate and assign delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within specified timeframes.
- Perform regular vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained and safe to operate.
- Assist in resolving customer or delivery issues in a professional manner.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a driving or logistics role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a team and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry packages as required.

Basic Requirements:
· Eligible to work in Canada
· Class G driver license (1 year driving experience preferred)
· Successfully pass a pre-employment driving record background check
· Successfully pass a fingerprints based background check
