Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hand tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize power tools and welding equipment for repairs and assembly tasks
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and addressing customer concerns effectively
- Heavy lifting of parts and equipment to facilitate repairs
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or as a mechanic
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with schematics and diagnostic procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, assembly processes, and safety standards
