Job Title: Portable Equipment Production Operator
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Location: 3750 19 St NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 6V2
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Hours per week: 37.5
Rate: $20/hour - $23/hour
OBJECTIVE
This role requires adaptability and the ability to thrive amidst constant change, ensuring efficient and timely production of equipment to meet demand. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards while working collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Operations:
- Work collaboratively with the Manufacturing Manager, production lead and team members to fulfill customer orders.
- Follow the team lead instructions to run the daily order’s schedules assigned by the
Manufacturing Manager.
- Ensure finished products been tested and quality checked to meet QA standards prior to packaging.
- Report to the team lead or the Manufacturing Manager any discrepancies within the BOM to Update Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure product’s QA standards been met.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and the Company code of ethics.
Process Improvement and Collaboration:
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives presented by the Manufacturing Manager to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth production processes and meet customer demands.
Safety and Risk Management:
- Follow safety protocols to maintain safe and secured work environment.
- Maintain housekeeping and clean working area all times and ensure all tools/parts to put aside by the end of the shift.
Other Duties:
- Perform any other projects or duties as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks to support overall departmental objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment assembly or related field.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or vocational training in equipment assembly or manufacturing is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting production orders and blueprints.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Basic understanding of quality control procedures and techniques.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and report any issues to management.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment assembly issues and find solutions quickly to minimize downtime.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and testing of equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods during assembly and testing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Willingness to adapt to changing production priorities and handle multiple tasks
simultaneously.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and promoting a safe work environment for oneself and colleagues.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, handling small components, and performing precise maneuvers.
- Flexibility and Coordination: Willingness to bend, kneel, and crouch as needed, with good hand-eye coordination.
