Become our next Journeyman Off-Road Field Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic at Albian. You will be the backbone of our fleet; performing preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and field repairs to ensure equipment never misses a beat. Responsibilities:
- Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery at various job sites
- Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site
- Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
- Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services
- Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment
- Must be able to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
- Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
- Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Conditions of employment:
- Must have Journeyman Mechanic (Off Road) Certificate or Red Seal in HET.
- Able to work 7 on, 7 off.
- Camp is provided along with flights out of Edmonton or Calgary only.
- At least 3-years’ hands on experience working on Aerial Equipment
- Valid Class 5 license.
- A clean and recent driver’s abstract will be required.
- All employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and alcohol screening.
- According to site regulations, all candidates must be clean shaven.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Rate: $57.77/hr union rate. When you work in the field, there is an additional $1.50/hour field premium.
- \*This rate is for candidates who hold their Journeyman HET off Road Ticket\*
- Pension: $4.00 per hour (company-paid) after 24 months
- Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
- Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Hours: 11.5 hours per day at regular time
- Overtime: Paid after 11.5 hours/day or beyond the 7-day rotation
- Flight days: Monday. Start work Tuesday. Fly home after work on Monday. You do not get paid for travel.
Licence/Certification:
- Journeyman Off Road Ticket (preferred)
