Fleet Maintenance Manager – Halifax, NS
Full-Time | Permanent | Immediate Start | $45–$50/hr
We are currently seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to join a well-established operation in the Halifax area. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, efficient, and reliable fleet.
We are open to both licensed Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics and highly experienced non-certified mechanics with strong hands-on fleet maintenance experience.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and inspection of company fleet vehicles and equipment
- Managing preventative maintenance schedules to ensure reliability and compliance
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and coordinating repairs (in-house or through vendors)
- Supervising or supporting a small team of mechanics/technicians (if applicable)
- Maintaining accurate service records and maintenance documentation
- Ensuring all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards
- Managing parts inventory and working with suppliers for repairs and sourcing
- Supporting breakdown response and troubleshooting as required
- Promoting a strong safety culture within the maintenance function
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in fleet, heavy equipment, or automotive maintenance
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and diagnostics
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Leadership experience considered an asset, but not required
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Automotive Technician considered an asset (not required)
- Valid driver’s licence (required)
