Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
- Apply knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients.
- Utilize hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and other techniques to enhance client satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to client needs and offering professional advice.
- Manage appointments using salon software such as MINDBODY to ensure efficient scheduling.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, answering phones, and handling retail sales.
- Mentor junior stylists or interns by sharing knowledge and best practices in hair care and styling.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling, makeup application, and nail care to provide clients with current options.
- Engage in upselling products and services to enhance the overall client experience.
Skills
- Proficient in hair styling techniques including barbering, hair threading, and straight razor usage.
- Strong understanding of cosmetology principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with retail math to assist in managing product sales effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Experience with salon management software is preferred but not required.
