Dental Receptionist
Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. Saturday's are a must. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks with professionalism and efficiency. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience and supporting the overall operations of our dental office.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and confirm patient visits.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Cleardent/ Tracker.
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing using dental office management software.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and updating patient information.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely appointment scheduling and patient flow.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and professional at all times.
- Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist preferred. Must be able to work Saturday's.
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Cleardent, experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
- Office experience with administrative responsibilities including scheduling, billing, and data entry.
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a dental or medical setting.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience working with dental or medical office equipment is advantageous.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
